Save the Boundary Waters

is a Minnesota Based non-profit working to protect this rich wilderness area from toxic copper mining. My work TO SUPPORT THEIR EFFORTS has included apparel design and art for a national photo campaign in collaboration with Public Lands shop.

WORK FOR GOOD

SAVE THE BOUNDARY WATERS IS WORKING TO SAVE A WILDERNESS REGION THAT I GREW UP SPENDING TIME IN. IT IS CLOSE TO MY HEART. DESIGN WORK FOR THIS CAUSE WILL CONTINUE AS IT BECOMES INCREASINGLY IMPORTANT DURING THIS POLITICAL CLIMATE.

THE ILLUSTRATIVE WORK OF THE TREE RING represents THE RICH AND LAYERED VALUE OF THIS REGION. COPPER MINING WOULD DESTROY THis wilderness, NOT ONLY FOR RECREATION BUT FOR THE OVERALL HEALTH OF ALL THE surrounding FLORA AND FAUNA.

It was a pleasure to complete prop art and design for a photo shoot for their clients, Save the Boundary Waters and outdoor retailer, Public Lands Shop. The project included a variety of printed and handcrafted signage that encompassed the art direction for the shoot. I focused on creating a visual representation of the pressing cause to ban copper mining from the BWCA watershed. The photos are featured in upcoming catalogues and web with broad national reach.

The overall work for the cause to Save the Boundary Waters has been gratifying. I will continue to support their efforts through visual creativity in the ways I can in the future.
